Satyabrata Sahu Empanelled for Secretary-Equivalent Post at Centre

Bhubaneswar: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of senior Odisha-cadre IAS officer Satyabrata Sahu for holding a Secretary-equivalent post at the Central Government.

A 1991-batch IAS officer, Sahu is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Home Department in the Odisha Government. He also holds additional charge as ACS of the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.

Sahu has previously served as the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) and Managing Director of the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA), where he played a pivotal role in coordinating disaster preparedness and relief efforts across the state.

Notably, the seasoned bureaucrat was on Central deputation from 2013 to 2020, gaining significant experience in various key departments. His empanelment marks a significant milestone in his administrative career, making him eligible for top-level postings in the Central Government.
