Saswat: The Superb Bureaucrat

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): Our State is blessed to have galaxies of bureaucrats. The administration, management and all other things of Odisha are smoothly handled by the efficient IAS officers. Here we are discussing about a well-known and efficient officer, Saswat Mishra.

IAS Saswat Mishra from Dhenkanal district has created an example for other officers by his work style and performances. He served as Director, Sports and Youth Services Department, Govt. of Odisha from May 25, 2011 to January 1, 2012. And again Saswat took charge as secretary, Sports and Youth Services Department on December 4, 2013.

He has done tremendous job for Odisha Sports in various positions. The sports department in our State took up to high sky in the time of Saswat. The 1996 batch superb IAS was completed his BE in Metallurgy Engineering and also love to play sports like Cricket, Tennis and Football. The love for sports made Saswat a fantastic Officer in Sports Department. Previously he has served as Commissioner, Commercial tax and Nodal Officer for Sambalpur District.

The bureaucrat now got another important portfolio. He has been posted as Principal Secretary to Govt., Higher Education Department with Addl. Charge of Chairman, Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission . We hope, Saswat may show his same zeal in his current post as before.
