Saraswati Puja Celebrated in Odisha with Gaiety

(Pramit Pramathes) Bhubaneswar: Goddess Saraswati, the icon of knowledge, arts and music,  worshiped in all over the state today with gaiety. Saraswati Puja is celebrated on the occasion of Basant Panchami.

The festival, which is considered as an auspicious occasion for students, has been celebrated in almost all educational institutions. The students pray to the goddess for wisdom, knowledge and pious living. They place their books, pens and musical instruments beside the idol for the entire day of Saraswati Puja to seek Goddess’ blessings.
