Sambalpur: 1 Killed in Jumbo Attack

Sambalpur: In an tragic incident, a man was killed in an elephant attack in Jujumura block of Sambalpur district last night. The deceased has been identified as Gopal Pradhan (57), husband of Jujumura sarpanch Basanti Pradhan.

As per reports, Gopal was sleeping outside his dhaba (eatery) when the elephant trampled him leading to his death on the spot.

On getting the information, police along with the Forest department officials arrived at the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
