Saffron Party Observes Balangir Bandh

Balangir (Reporters Today Bureau): The Bharatiya Janata Party is today observing a 12-hour bandh in Balangir district over the Mamita Meher murder row demanding resignation of Minister Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra.
Effect of the strike was seen in Balangir Town this morning as shops and business establishments were closed. Vehicular activity was also reduced to a large extent during the dawn-to-dusk bandh from 6 AM to 6 PM.
The BJP has also been demanding a CBI investigation into the murder case. It claimed that the minister has links with Govind Sahu, prime accused of the murder case. The party had yesterday observed a 12-hour bandh in Kalahandi over same demands.
