S Jaishankar Visits Puri
Puri: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has come to Odisha in a four day visit program. Yesterday he landed in Bhubaneswar Airport.
S Jaishankar is on a five-day visit to Odisha for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference.
Ahead of that today Dr Jaishankar visited Puri and got a glimpse of Lord Jagannath at Srimandira. He was welcomed by Police and district administration near the Singha Dwar. Senior servitors of the temple, Puri Collector and SP were present on the occasion.
Earlier, Dr Jaishankar visited the Sun Temple in Konark. Later, he is scheduled to visit Shantistupa at Dhauli in Bhubaneswar.
Asked about the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Dr S Jaishankar said that this is a great opportunity to focus Odisha on the world map.
The External Affairs Minister reached Bhubaneswar airport on Monday evening. He will be in Odisha for 4 days.
He will participate in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas program organized at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar from 8th to 10th January.
