Rs 1.36 Crore Of Brown Sugar Seized In Odisha, 2 Held

Balasore (Reporters Today Bureau): The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch (CB) seized a huge amount of brown sugar worth Rs 1.36 crore from the Sahadevkhunta area in the Balasore district yesterday.
The accused are identified as Manas Mukhi of Aradabazar and Kamalkanta Das of Haripur.
According to the sources, a raid has been conducted by a team of STF and nabbed two drug peddlers in the Sahadevkhunta area and sized the 1.36 kg brown sugar.
Without a registration number, a stolen motorcycle and other incriminating materials have also seized from the possession of the drug peddlers. Said police.
“The accused will be produced before the court today. A case under Sections 21(c) and 29 of NDPS Act, 1985 has been registered against them. The two were also involved in many other criminal cases,” informed police sources.
