Roopa Roshan Sahoo appointed as First Woman Secretary to Odisha Governor

Bhubaneswar: In a first, a woman IAS officer has been appointed as the Secretary to the Governor. Senior IAS officer Roopa Roshan Sahoo has been appointed as the Secretary to the Governor.

Roopa Roshan Sahoo, IAS (RR.2006), RDC (SD), Berhampur is appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor, Odisha.

Rupa Roshan possibly is the first woman secretary in the history of Odisha Raj Bhavan.

Yesterday, Odisha Government effected a major IAS reshuffle in which 50 IAS officers were transferred.

The current Principal Secretary to the Governor has been transferred to the Public Enterprises Department. He will hold additional charge as CMD of OSRTC.
