RIP Tapu Mishra: End of a Rising Singer

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): Noted Ollywood singer Tapu Mishra died of Coronavirus while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here tonight. The 36-year-old vocalist breathed her last at around 11 pm. She was on put on ventilator support as saturation level was fluctuating. The saturation level dropped drastically since last two days.

The artist was admitted to the hospital on May 19, nine days after her father passed away due to the hazardous disease. As her condition was deteriorating, her family members were planning to shift her to Kolkata for ECMO treatment, a source said.

The members of her fraternity has started a fundraising campaign to support her financially. Besides, they had appealed to the Government for help. Owing this, Culture Department had sanctioned Rupees One lakh for her treatment from Artist Welfare Fund. The Reporters Today Family condoles the death of a rising star of Odisha.
