Retired IAS officer appointed Principal Advisor, Special Initiatives

Bhubaneswar, Dec 28: The State government has appointed R. Balakrishnan, a retired IAS officer, as Principal Advisor, Special Initiatives on Thursaday.

As per the government notification, Balakrishnan will look after the functioning of the Special Development Council, Tribal museum, Crafts museum, Heritage cabinet and Odia University.

The 1984-batch IAS officer, was previously served as the Development Commissioner. He was reportedly offered remuneration but declined, sources said.
