Real Estate Businessman’s Vehicle Shot at by Miscreants in Sundargarh

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, unidentified bike-borne miscreants opened fire at the vehicle of a real estate businessman in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Sunday.

The incident occurred near the Biramitrapur Tehsil office, where the victim, Uttam Kumar Ghosh, had arrived for the registration of a landed property. Ghosh, a resident of Sector 20 in Rourkela, escaped the attack unhurt.

According to eyewitnesses, two unidentified assailants approached Ghosh’s vehicle on a motorcycle and fired multiple rounds. While the bullets shattered the window panes of the vehicle, Ghosh remained unharmed.

Upon receiving information, Biramitrapur police arrived at the scene and began a preliminary investigation. A manhunt has been launched to trace and apprehend the culprits.

Police suspect the motive behind the attack may be linked to land-related disputes, but a detailed probe is underway.
