Ratna Bhandar Repair Work to Resume Today

Puri: The ASI will resume the repair work of Ratna Bhadar of Srimandir  on Thursday after one-day’s break. The repair work began on Tuesday but was stalled yesterday because of the Diba Pahuda Niti.

On Wednesday ‘Diba Pahuda’ ritual was held for just one day in contrast to the daily Diba Pahuda. It is a ritual that is followed in the ‘Pahili Bhoga’ month. The decision to stop the repair work was taken in the Chhatisha Niyog meeting held on 10.12.2024 considering the large crowd of devotees.  It was decided to not hold the daily ‘Diba Pahuda’ and only hold one day ‘Diba Pahuda’ during the Pahili Bhoga month as a symbol of tradition.

The repair and renovation work will resume after the second Bhoga Mandapa. The repair work will continue till 5.00 to 6.00 pm.
