Ratna Bhandar repair work to be suspended till Ratha Jatra

Puri: In a major development relating to the Ratna Bhandar repair work sources inform that it shall be suspended till the world famous Rath Yatra of the divine trinity.

According to reports, there shall be an important meeting on progress of the repair of the Ratna Bhandar. The meeting was held at the temple office at 11 am. A meeting was held between the ASI and the temple administration (SJTA).

It has been decided in the meeting that the repair of the Ratna Bhandar will be stopped until the Rath Yatra. The repair of the Ratna Bhandar will be stopped from April 29 to June 27. The repair work will be stopped due to the various rituals of Mahaprabhu Lord Jagannath.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Administrator of the temple. ASI officers, Tadhau Karan, Deula Karan, Bhandar Mekap were present in the meeting.

The repair work of the Ratna Bhandar is almost complete, said reports, just the Granite flooring work is left. As many as 277 stones have been installed. 148 stones have been installed in the inner Ratna Bhandar and 115 stones in the outer Ratna Bhandar, reports further added.
