Ratha Jatra: Coordination Meeting Today

Puri: Preparations have begun for the world-famous Rath Yatra of Puri in Odisha. From today, the construction of chariots for the Ghosha Yatra will begin in the Rath Khala in a formal manner.

Preparations have begun at the administrative level to organize the world-famous Ghosha Yatra of Mahaprabhu Lord Jagannath and siblings that is to be held on June 27 this year.

Meanwhile, the first coordination meeting will be held today for the Rath Yatra. The meeting will be held at the Puri Town Hall under the chairmanship of the Central Revenue Commissioner.

In the meeting, officers from various departments will submit their respective department’s action plan reports. Earlier, deadlines were set to all officers in the preparatory meetings held twice under the chairmanship of the District Collector.

The meeting will be attended by the District Collector, SP, MLA, administrative officers of the temple, servitors and intellectuals from the civil society.
