Ran from home with just Rs 300 in his pocket : Yash

Mumbai,Jan 4:

There is no denying that Yash is one of the biggest stars down south and his last release, KGF has added even more feathers to his cap. The film not just garnered him much attention but also set the box-office ablaze. The two-part film opened to positive responses and also brought Kannada cinema to the forefront. Even though the actor has become one of the most sought-after Kannada stars, all that stardom didn’t come easy to him. The actor has worked really hard to carve a niche for himself in the industry.

While talking to the News Minute exclusively, Yash revealed that he had a humble beginning as his father was a BMTC bus driver and mother a housewife. The family had to face a lot of difficulties but he was always confident that he will make it big someday.

“I ran off from my home. When I came to Bengaluru, I was scared the minute I reached. Such a big, intimidating city. But I was always a confident guy. I wasn’t scared to struggle. I had just 300 rupees in my pocket when I reached Bengaluru. I knew if I went back, my parents would never allow me to return here. My parents gave me an ultimatum. I was free to try my luck as an actor but after that, if it didn’t work out, I had to do what they asked me to”, said the KGF star.

Yash is currently riding high on the success of KGF but he doesn’t want to celebrate it yet. “I am happy about KGF. But I don’t want to celebrate. I don’t want to think about the success. That’s a waste of time. I want to thank my producer Vijat Kirgandul and director Prashanth Neel. They are the visionaries who believed in my dream”, stated the Mr and Mrs Ramachari actor.
