Rain to continue for 5 more days

Bhubaneswar: Rain with lightning and gusty surface wind in Odisha will continue for five more days, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.
The IMD also has issued orange and yellow warnings for the rainfall activities till 8.30 AM of May 3. Check the day-wise warnings of the weather department for rain in Odisha:
Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of April 29):
- ORANGE WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda.
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Kendrapada.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Sonepur, Boudh and Balangir.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 29 to 8.30 AM of April 30):
- ORANGE WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph and Hailstorm, Heavy rainfall very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Jajpur.
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph, heavy rainfall very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 30 to 8.30 AM of May 1):
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph with heavy rainfall very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam and Khurda.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.

- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph with heavy rainfall very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore and Bhadrak.

- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph with heavy rainfall very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Nabarangapur.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal , Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
