Bhubaneswar: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi may have to go alone when he raises Adani or Ambani issues in the Lok Sabha. RaGa’s favourite subject in the parliament is Gautam Adani and he was also supported by Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra very often. Mahua had gone several steps ahead of Rahul by giving his Lok Sabha used ID and password to Dubai-based business tycoon Darshan Hiranandani to prepare questions on Adani and pass those to her. Fortunately for the country and unfortunately for Moitra, her close confidante and alleged lover leaked the fact and she had to be thrown out of the Lok Sabha. She of course returned to the House later winning from West Bengal.
But three days ago, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee announced publicly that she was not at all keen that her party support the allegations against Adani or Ambani raised in the parliament. This has tweaked the opportunity Moitra had to raise the issue to favour her friend Hiranandani.
Analysts feel that the change of heart of Mamata Banerjee may have germinated from the fact that Adani is interested to invest in West Bengal and Didi would not like to lose the opportunity.
In the parliament, Rahul Gandhi makes it a point to raise the Adani issue which analysts feel are tutored by George Soros who had claimed in a video message a year ago that he want to ‘destroy’ Modi spending nearly Rs 600 crore. Soros is now convinced that defeating Modi through an orchestrated campaign is near impossible. So he has chosen to attack Adani through all possible means including the Hindenburg reports. Rahul Gandhi, it is alleged, is working to a tool kit against Adani.
In the most recent case, Rahul Gandhi has chosen to attack Adani in the House and demanded his arrest for Adani’s alleged involvement in bribing of officials for expanding business.
Moitra has gone totally silent on Adani in the Lok Sabha after Mamata expressed her displeasure. However, her attack on Adani has not mellowed down on the X platform.
The analysts feel that the attack on Adani is likely to decrease after the Trump administration takes over in the United State’s of America in Janurary.
