Puri: 2 Students Killed in Tractor-Bike Collision

Nimapada: In a tragic incident, at least two students were killed and their uncle sustained grievous injuries after the motorcycle they were travelling on collided head-on with a tractor in Nimapada tehsil of Odisha’s Puri district today.
While Tusharkanti Parida from Gadachandpur village was critically injured, his two nephews died in the mishap. As per reports, the mishap took place near Areisahi village under Balanga police limits when the trio was returning home from tuition Khandayat Patana village.
Following the collision, the two children fell under the tractor wheel and were crushed to death on the spot. Some locals rushed them to a nearby hospital, where the attending doctors declared the students ‘received dead’.
The mishap sparked tension in the area as locals resorted to roadblock demanding the arrest of the tractor driver. Upon being informed, police arrived at the spot and pacified the irate locals. The cops seized the tractor and initiated a probe into the matter.
