Property Dispute: Youth Hacks Elder Brother to Death

Kendrapara: In a gory incident, a youth allegedly hacked his elder brother to death over a suspected property dispute in the Pattamundai locality of Kendrapara district this morning. The deceased has been identified as Anupam Behera. As per reports, the incident took place at Sandhapalli village when a quarrel ensued between the accused, identified as Sanatan Behera, and the deceased over a long-standing property dispute.

Later, it took a violent turn when Sanatan, in a fit of rage, attacked Anupam with a sharp-edged weapon and fled from the spot. In the attack, Anupam sustained grave injuries. He was then rushed to a nearby healthcare facility where the doctors declared him dead.

On getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem. A probe has been launched into the matter and the accused will be apprehended soon, said the police.
