Professor Arrested for Alleged Sexual Harassment of Woman on Delhi-Mumbai Flight, Say Police

Mumbai: A 47-year-old professor has been taken into custody by the police on Friday for allegedly sexually harassing a 24-year-old woman doctor during a Delhi-Mumbai flight.

According to the Police official, the incident occurred on Wednesday when both individuals were seated beside each other on the flight that departed from Delhi at 5.30 am.

Following an argument between the two passengers, the victim informed the flight’s crew members, who promptly intervened. After landing at Mumbai airport, they proceeded to Sahar police station, where the woman filed a formal complaint of sexual harassment against the professor.

In response to the victim’s complaint, the police registered a case of sexual harassment and subsequently arrested the accused professor.

He was presented before a court, which granted him bail while an investigation is underway.
