President Reached Puri, Offers Obeisance at Srimandir

Puri (Reporters Today Bureau): President Ram Nath Kovind and his wife, the first lady of India Savita Kovind have arrived at Puri to offer prayers at the Sri Jagannath temple.

The town is beefed up with a thick security blanket with the deployment of 40 platoons of forces with 250 officers and 13 senior cops. The President of India reached Puri from Bhubaneswar via a special chopper around  9 am. After the Darshan, the President will visit the Sun Temple at Konark at 10.45.

Kovind will have a stay at OTDC Jatri Nivas from 12 noon to 4 pm and He will be departing to Delhi from Bhubaneswar airport today at 5:20 pm.
