President Murmu to Inaugurate New Khurda Court Complex
Bhubaneswar: The new District Judicial Court Complex in Khurda, Bhubaneswar, is set to be inaugurated on Thursday by President Droupadi Murmu. The state-of-the-art facility aims to enhance judicial services and provide a more efficient working environment for both the public and the legal community.
The five-story building, including a basement and ground floor, is fully air-conditioned with free Wi-Fi and has five entry and exit gates for smooth access. It features 57 courtrooms, a healthcare center with one doctor and two nurses, and amenities such as a bank and a post office.
Special provisions have been made for both the public and staff, including restrooms for men and women, a breastfeeding room, a baby crèche, and separate rest areas for advocates and court staff. Additionally, the complex houses two conference rooms, an e-library, a general library, and a computer room for lawyers to conduct case research.
Parking facilities are extensive, with space for about 1,000 vehicles, including a dedicated basement area for 50 judicial vehicles. A multi-story parking facility under construction will accommodate an additional 450 four-wheelers and 550 two-wheelers.
The inauguration is expected to be a landmark event, showcasing a modern judicial infrastructure designed to improve legal proceedings and public convenience in Bhubaneswar.
