President Murmu in Bhubaneswar for PBD 2025
Bhubaneswar: President of India Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bhubaneswar on Thursday to attend the concluding ceremony of Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) 2025.
The President landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport in a special Air Force aircraft and proceeded to Raj Bhavan under tight security arrangements.
On Friday, the President will depart from Raj Bhavan at 11 AM to attend the PBD 2025 event. She is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the contributions of the Indian diaspora and present awards to 17 Pravasi Bharatiyas for their achievements in various fields.
The President is expected to spend approximately five hours at the event before returning to the airport.
To ensure smooth transit for the presidential motorcade, the stretch of road from Raj Bhavan to Nalco Chowk will be closed to the public from 11:20 AM to 11:50 AM on Friday. Security has been heightened across the city in view of the high-profile visit.
