Prem’s Role in Panchayat Polls!

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): Prem Chandra Chowdhury, recently appointed as the CEO of Western Odisha Development Council, which is headed by former Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy. Prem Chandra previously removed from the post of BMC commissioner and posted as the OSD in General Administration department. It is learned that Prem Chandra has been removed from BMC because of his failure in COVID-19 management. We think the Chief Minister lost his confidence on Asit Tripathy and sent Prem Chandra to take the drivers role in Western Odisha.

Its came to our notice that, Prem Chandra and Asit Tripathy’s appointments are due to the fear of PK effect. In history, no IAS were appointed as CEO of Western Odisha Development Council. Sources said, these appointments are meant to check the affect of son of the western soil, Pramod Kumar Mishra, who is now serving as the principal advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi. Mr. Pramod is an Odia IAS of Gujarat cadre and belongs to western Odisha.

As the ruling Biju Janata dal performed worstly in the last Panchayat elections and also in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the party chief wants to win the western people’s heart with these appointments.

According to our sources, the piled funds for Western Odisha Development Council will be expended in this year to popularize ruling Biju Janata Dal.
