Pregnant Woman Killed in Sundargarh Robbery

Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, a pregnant woman was shot dead by two miscreants at her residence in Jhardapali village under Tikaytpali police station limits of Banai, Sundargarh district, late Wednesday night.

According to reports, the assailants knocked on her door late at night. When she opened it, they snatched her gold chain. As she cried for help, one of the miscreants shot her before fleeing the scene.

It is suspected that the victim was alone at home when the incident occurred. The attack has left the local community in shock and grief.

The increasing incidents of chain-snatching and attacks on women have raised concerns about safety, with this brutal act further highlighting the growing issue of crime against women in Odisha.

Police were alerted by locals and have launched an investigation to apprehend the culprits.
