Pranab Prakash Das and Priti Ranjan Gharei injured in protests over FM college incident

Bhubaneswar: The BJD protest at PMG square have turned violent. Water cannons were charged at the protestors by the police. In the chaos, Senior BJD leaders Pranab Prakash Das and Priti Ranjan Gharei have been injured.

Priti Ranjan Gharei (Danny Gharei) admitted to Capital Hospital casualty after being hit by Firing during Protest at PMG Square.

BJD leader Pranab Prakash Das has been admitted to a private hospital.

As the situation got intense, water cannons were charged and tear gas was also charged at the protestors by the police.

BJD hit the streets today demanding judicial investigation into the matter of the FM college student’s self-immolation.

The BJD party will continue to protest until a “judicial investigation” is announced.

“This is nothing less than an institutional betrayal and is a premediated injustice,” said BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik, while expressing grief over the death of Somyashree Bisi of the Fakir Mohan Autonomous College.
