Police to fortify Janata Maidan for ‘Make In Odisha 2018’ Conclave
Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police is making elaborate arrangements to ensure fool proof security for the second Make in Odisha conclave beginning here from November 11.
The 5-day event will witness a congregation of business leaders, senior executives of multinationals and dignitaries from India and abroad.
The Twin City police will be on high alert as many VIPs at the Make in Odisha conclave have ‘threats’.
Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty said on Thursdau that the venue will be fortified with a proper security cover from November 9.
“We will mount surveillance and start frisking the visitors (workers) from Friday onwards,” he said.
“There are many access routes to the Janata Maidan. DCP (Armed) of the Commissionerate of Police’ 7th Battalion will be in-charge of the overall security of the venue,” the Police Commissioner said.
