Poco Discontinues Website, New Phones to Be Sold via Xiaomi
New Delhi: Poco has officially discontinued its dedicated po.co website starting January 2025, redirecting all sales and product information to Xiaomi’s official site. The decision, initially announced in October 2024, marks a strategic move to consolidate Poco’s digital presence under Xiaomi’s ecosystem.
With the closure, all Poco products will now be sold exclusively through the Xiaomi website. The first new product to launch under this arrangement is the Poco X7 duo, set for release on January 9, 2025.
Globally, the po.co website and its European versions, including sites in the UK, France, and Germany, are now redirected to the corresponding Xiaomi Store pages. However, reports suggest some regional sites remain partially accessible. The Indian site appeared inactive before the launch of Poco C75 and Poco M7 Pro 5G, which were scheduled for release in late December.
The Poco Store app has also been discontinued. Users’ personal data will be retained in compliance with relevant laws but can be downloaded through Xiaomi account settings.
Poco confirmed that Xiaomi will continue handling warranties, reinforcing that Poco, while marketed as an independent brand, has always operated under Xiaomi’s umbrella. This restructuring is viewed as part of Xiaomi’s strategy to streamline operations and expand market reach across online and offline channels.
