Plus Two examination paper evaluation from April 2; results by May 15

Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has announced that the evaluation process for the Plus Two examinations will begin on April 2.Students can expect their results to be declared by May 15, in accordance with the usual timeline.

A total of 8,000 teachers have been appointed to carry out the initial phase of the evaluation process. They will assess answer sheets in their respective districts to minimize the impact of the ongoing heatwave. This localized approach will ensure that the process remains efficient and manageable for all involved.

Prashant Kumar Parida, the CHSE examination controller, assured that the evaluation process will be meticulously monitored to maintain fairness and accuracy in grading. This year, a total of 3,93,618 candidates appeared for the Plus Two exams across the state.Despite the strict vigilance, some instances of malpractice were reported during the exams. Around 300 students were caught engaging in cheating or other forms of dishonesty. However, in a move to provide relief to students who were wrongly accused, those who were mistakenly booked for malpractice without any fault will have their results released along with the general candidates, ensuring that no student is unfairly penalized.

The evaluators will be tasked with reviewing a set number of answer sheets in a specific timeframe: 30 sheets in five hours for subjects carrying 35, 40, and 50 marks, and 20 sheets in five hours for subjects with 70 and 80 marks.
