People charred to death in Mumbai

Mumbai: In a tragic incident four men were charred to death  in a devastating fire at a cloth godown in suburban Kandivali here on Sunday, a civic official said on Monday.

The official said the bodies were recovered from debris of the godown by fire fighting personnel. He said the bodies were recovered  from the  spot by 5 AM on Monday.

Reports said they were taken to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivli where doctors declared them brought dead.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated. The official said fire personnel are conducting search operations at the storeroom premises.

The identity of the deceased are  yet to be confirmed.
