Pankaj Mohanty new OCA President

Bhubaneswar: Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has become the new president of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).

He was the sole candidate to file his nomination for the top post.
The current vice-president of OCA, Mohanty’s nomination was found valid after scrutiny.

However, the formal announcement of Mohanty’s election is to be made at the Special General Meeting scheduled for February 23.

Mohanty has experience of serving as the executive president of OCA from 2019 to 2022.

His return to the top post is likely to bring continuity and stability to the organization.
Notably, the election was necessitated after former president Pranab Prakash Das resigned from his post in December last year.

Das, a Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader in Odisha, had taken over as OCA president in 2022.
