Orange Warning Issued for 7 Districts for Heavy Rainfall

Bhubaneswar: The MeT department has issued orange warning for 7 districts of Odisha for today for heavy rainfall. The orange alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Balasore, Sundargarh and Sambalpur districts today.

As per the weather forecast, heavy rainfall is expected in Odisha today. Hence, orange warning has been issued for 7 districts. Rain is lashing the state due to an active low pressure system.

The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

Similarly, yellow warning has been issued for heavy rainfall in 7 other districts for today.

The Meteorological Center has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mayurbhanj district tomorrow and extremely heavy rainfall in one or two places.

Meanwhile, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea as the sea is rough and turbulent due to the low pressure.
