One Held for Stone Pelting on Jan Shatabdi Express

Bhubaneswar: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested one individual in Bhadrak in connection with a stone pelting incident on the Howrah-bound 12074 Jan Shatabdi Express.
At approximately 0815 hrs on June 27, a complaint was received via Rail Madad by the Divisional Security Control, Khurda Road, reporting a window glass cracked due to stone pelting in Coach No. D/13 between Randia Boudpur and Bhadrak stations. However, no one was injured in the incident.
Taking swift action, Inspector-in-Charge, RPF Bhadrak, along with his team, launched a trackside search operation in the affected section. One suspect was detained and subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Railway Act. The accused will be produced before the Court of SDJM, Bhadrak for further legal proceedings.
The RPF reiterates its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of railway passengers and urges the public to report any suspicious activity through Rail Madad or the Railway Helpline Number 139.
