Odisha Witnesses Severe Cold
Bhubaneswar: The cold wave is gripping several parts of Odisha. Despite, the predictions by IMD that 2 to 3 degrees temperature is likely to rise, people are feeling no respite from the chilling winters. Four districts in Odisha have been issued a yellow warning.
In several parts of interior Odisha, impact of winter can be seen. Clear sky can be expected till January 9. In the last 24 hours, Phulbani had recorded the lowest 7.5 degrees. As many as six cities have recorded temperature below 10 degrees Celsius.
Rourkela recorded 8.7 degrees, Jharsuguda and Angul stood at 9 degrees, Daringbadi hit the mercury at 9.5 degrees and temperature in Bhawanipatna remained at 9.9 degrees Celsius. While in three districts the temperature was over 30 degrees. Balangir, Nuapada recorded 30 degrees Celsius while Bargarh stood at 31.2 degrees Celsius.
