Odisha weather update

Bhubaneswar: Cloudy weather continues in various parts of the state due to the effect of Kalbaisakhi. The capital has been experiencing cloudy weather with intermittent rain since morning.

As per the weather forecast the Norwester (Kalbaisakhi) backed rain will continue for another 4 days at different places of the State. Warnings have been issued for lightning and thunder in various parts of the state until 25th May.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts for today. Winds may blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour with lightning in these 10 districts.

Similarly, a yellow warning has been issued for 9 districts for tomorrow. At this time winds may blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in these districts. There is no possibility of a major change in the temperature in the state for next 7 days.
