Odisha to Witness Thunderstorm Today

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today, informed the India Meteorological Department. The met department has issued orange warning in this regard.

Thunderstorm with lightning, hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam. It further said heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nuapada, Balangir, Subarnapur, Sambalpur, Boudh, Angul, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj. The IMD has issued yellow warning for these districts.
