Odisha to witness rainfall in next 7 days

Bhubaneswar: The city-based regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued rain warning in Odisha for next seven days.
As predicted by the weather department, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours in different districts of the State for seven days from tomorrow.

Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of May 15):
- Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Odisha
- Orange Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangapur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam.
- Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda and Puri.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
- Hot and Humid Conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.

- Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at a few places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, South Interior Odisha, South Coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of North Inetrior Odisha.
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Mayurbhanj.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Angul and Dhenkanal.
