Odisha to Witness Heavy Rainfall From July 3
Bhubaneswar: With the southwest monsoon playing hide and seek, several parts of Odisha are expected to experience thunderstorms and heavy rainfall from July 3. The weather change is likely to bring relief from the humid conditions that have prevailed over the past few days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and heavy rainfall across various regions of the state starting July 3, 2024.
The IMD specifically issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall in 13 districts: Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, and Koraput.
The IMD has advised travelers to check for potential traffic congestion on their routes and to avoid areas prone to waterlogging. Fishermen are also cautioned against venturing into the sea during this period.
