Odisha to Release Crop Damage Report Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The crop damage assessment report following unseasonal rains in Odisha will be released tomorrow, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Monday.

In response to reports of widespread crop loss, the Chief Minister, along with Deputy CM and several ministers, visited affected areas to assess the situation firsthand. A review of the ground conditions was conducted, and land surveys were carried out in parts of Nayagarh, Gajapati, and Ganjam districts.

Crops in multiple districts, including these three, are reported to have suffered significant damage. The assessment period for crop loss has been extended by a day to ensure thorough evaluation.

The report will not only focus on paddy but also include assessments of cotton crops, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the impact.
