Odisha to face fuel and LPG shortage from tomorrow!

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to face fuel and LPG shortage across the State due to the ongoing protest of the Odisha Drivers’ Mahasangha, informed Sanjay Lath, the General Secretary of the Utkal Petroleum Dealers’ Association.
While speaking to the newsmen about the possible shortage of petrol and diesel, Lath said, “All kinds of transportation have come to a grinding halt following the protest of the Odisha Drivers’ Mahasangha. Transportation of fuel from the depots to the petrol pumps also have been badly affected and stopped for the last 48 hours.”
“Even the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by a forum of ten central trade unions and their associates has further affected public transportation. If such situation continues further, there will be shortage of fuel from tomorrow,” he added.
“Leaders of the organization of political party while calling for a strike announce that they would allow emergency services, but their activists stop the emergency vehicles by blocking the roads. Therefore, the Supreme Court of India should pass a strict order in this regard or else the general public will continue to face problems,” Lath suggested.
It is to be noted here that Odisha Drivers’ Mahasangha’s strike has entered its second consecutive day and paralysed the entire transport services across the State.
