Odisha to Experience Intense Heatwave For 3 Months: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The scorching heat in Odisha is likely to increase further. The MeT department has forecast that the heatwave in Odisha is likely to intensify in April and to continue till June.
The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar predicted that the heat wave will remain higher during these three months from April to June. The minimum temperature is also expected to remain the highest in the last few years. The IMD DG Mruntanjaya Mahapatra informed about the higher-than-usual temperature through a press conference.
As per the prediction, the North and East islands, central India, eastern India and Northwestern India will experience higher than usual temperature.
These areas include, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, MP, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, North Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. In all these states, the summer season will be experienced for two to four more days. The heatwave in Odisha is expected to torment the people here.
