Odisha to experience intense heat from today

Bhubaneswar: Following a respite for a few days due to norwester, now heat wave has returned to Odisha. Intense heat and humidity will be felt from today.
Hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in various parts of the state along with the heat wave till the 13th. The regional meteorological center has informed that intense heat and humidity will be experienced along with the heat.
Gusty winds are also likely to blow along with this. The meteorological department has issued a yellow warning for some districts in this regard.
A yellow warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri for heat wave.
The heat wave is expected to increase further by the 12th and 13th of this month. A yellow warning has been issued for 7 districts for these 2 days. These districts include Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Boudh and Balangir districts.
In the last 24 hours, the temperature has increased by 2 to 3 degrees in many places of the state. The mercury may touch 45 degrees towards tomorrow. Similarly, the temperature crossed 40 degrees yesterday. Sambalpur became the hottest city with 41 degrees.
