Odisha to Disburse Subhadra Yojana Funds on Nov 24

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will disburse the third phase of funds under the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana to women beneficiaries on November 24. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced the date upon her return from a trip to the UK.

In this phase, Rs 5,000 will be transferred to the bank accounts of eligible women beneficiaries. A special event in Sundargarh district will mark the occasion, with union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram expected to attend.

This flagship scheme of the Odisha government will benefit over 20 lakh women in its third phase. Additionally, the government is considering including applicants who were previously rejected in the first and second phases due to technical errors. So far, 2.67 lakh applicants have been disqualified from receiving the Rs 5,000 payment under the program.

Over 60 lakh women have benefited from the first two phases of Subhadra Yojana’s first installment. The government credited funds to 25 lakh women on September 17 and to another 39 lakh women on October 9.
