Odisha to Begin Admission Process for UG, PG, B.Ed, M.Ed Courses from April 16

Bhubaneswar: In a move aimed at ensuring timely commencement of academic activities, the Odisha government has announced the start of the admission process for postgraduate courses and two-year B.Ed, M.Ed, and B.Hd programmes for the academic year 2025-26. Additionally, the state has approved early initiation of admissions for undergraduate courses.
The Higher Education Department has stated that the Common Application Form (CAF) filling process will begin on April 16, 2025, for all eligible applicants. The decision is intended to safeguard students’ academic interests by facilitating timely admission, course commencement, examinations, and result declarations.
Admissions for undergraduate courses will be conducted in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. As per the NEP guidelines, students can choose flexible course combinations through the SAMS (Student Academic Management System) platform. Options will include Single Major with Two Minors, Double Majors, and Three Minors, offering students a broader academic choice.
The undergraduate academic session for 2025-26 is scheduled to begin by July 10, 2025. Officials emphasized that this streamlined admission timeline will ensure a smooth academic calendar and enhance the overall education experience for students across the state.
