Odisha: Temp Rise, Yellow Alert for Dense Fog

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department has predicted a rise in temperature across Odisha starting tomorrow, with the mercury expected to increase by 2 to 4 degrees above normal. Day and night temperatures will remain elevated for the next 4 to 5 days. Despite the increase in temperature, dense fog is expected to prevail for the next 48 hours.

The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for dense fog in several districts including Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Jajpur, Keonjhar, and Sambalpur. A similar warning has been extended for 11 districts tomorrow, including Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Angul, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj. The fog is expected to be light to moderate along coastal Odisha by January 31.

The weather is expected to remain dry for the next 5 to 7 days, with no significant change in night temperatures.
