Odisha Sees High Temperatures, Fog Forecast

Bhubaneswar: Several places across Odisha experienced a rise in temperatures on Saturday, with four weather stations recording maximum temperatures above 35°C, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district reported the highest temperature of 35.6°C. Other areas including Jharsuguda (35.2°C), Sonepur (35.1°C), and Balangir (35°C) also saw temperatures surpassing the 35°C mark. Additionally, Sambalpur and Hirakud recorded a maximum temperature of 34.7°C.
The IMD has also predicted dense fog in several districts of the state until February 3. According to the forecast, dense fog is likely in parts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Keonjhargarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Kandhamal on February 1. On February 2, dense fog is expected in Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam, and Gajapati districts.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions due to the changing weather conditions.
