Odisha registers 262 new COVID cases
Bhubaneswar, Aug 26(Reporters Today Bureau): A total of 262 new cases of COVID-19 were reported during the last 24 hours across the State, out of which 153 persons are in quarantine while 109 are local contacts. The number of active cases is 1987.
As per the data shared by the Information and Public Relations Department on Friday, as many as 16,863 samples were tested during the last 24 hours in the State. The State’s COVID-19 test positivity rate (TPR) stands at 1.55 percent.
Angul, Sonepur, Ganjam and Kalahandi reported one case each, Balasore, Kendrapara and Koraput two cases each, Bargarh and Jharsuguda and Jajpur five cases each, Bhadrak 3, Balangir 17, Boudh 7, Cuttack 15, Deogarh 4, Gajapati 11, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj and Nabarangpur nine cases each, Khurda 50, Nayagarh and Nuapada six cases each, Puri 7, Sambalpur 16, Sundargarh 53 and the State Pool 13 cases during the period.
