Odisha PCC team meets PMO officials, demands making IGH  Super Speciality Hospital

Bhubaneswar: A Congress delegation led by PCC president Niranjan Patnaik today met Prime Minister’s office to demand making IGH Rourkela a super speciality hospital.

The PCC team told officials at the PMO that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had himself announced about this during a meeting in the steel city.

“But because of the callous attitude of the Central government, the demand has not been fulfilled so far”, the team alleged.

The PCC team also handed over a cheque of Rs.20,20,504, collected
online through crowd funding as per request of AICC president Rahul Gandhi, for this purpose to the Prime Minister.

The delegation included AICC secretary Anil Chowdhury, Joint Secretary Aditya Sharma, MLA George Tirky, senior leaders Anant Sethi and Jagannath Pattnaik, Rourkela DCC president Rabi Ray and PCC media cell chairman Satyaprakash Nayak.
