Odisha: Massive COVID Vaccination Drive In Bhubaneswar From April 1; Know more

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): The government has decided to vaccinate teachers aged above 45 years in various educational institutions, Keeping in view the rising cases of COVID-19  of both Government and private schools under the massive immunization drive in Bhubaneswar on April 1.

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary today said Government and private schools, street vendors, staff of malls, restaurants,s, and state Electricity Department staff in Bhubaneswar will be administered with COVID-19 jab on a priority basis from April 1.

“We have prepared a list of around 20,000 people belonging to the five categories and targeted to cover all of them in the vaccination drive in a month or two,” said the official.

He further said, “Massive vaccination drive will begin on April 1. The number of testing will also be increased to curb the spread of the virus. A target has been set to conduct 6,000 COVID-19 tests daily in the state capital.”
