Odisha Lifts Lok Seva Bhavan Entry Ban for Journalists

Bhubaneswar:  In a significant move for the press, the Odisha government has lifted entry restrictions for journalists at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, according to reports on Tuesday.

Both accredited and non-accredited journalists will now be allowed to enter the premises, with one representative permitted from each media house.

The Information and Public Relations Department issued an official notification, reversing restrictions that had been in place since the Covid-19 pandemic under the previous administration.

Fulfilling a promise made by the new government, the decision marks a step towards greater transparency and media engagement. The notification formally restoring access was released earlier today.
